Hey, I’m Ashley!

I’m a middle school counselor and teacher that helps tweens go from overwhelmed and defeated to proud and confident.

Let’s get real for a second – middle school is TOUGH. On top of having to learn new ways to deal with things like changing classes, shifting friendships, and having multiple teachers (and how to keep up with the work from each of them), tweens are also trying to figure out who they are and how they want to show up in the world.

Even if your tween doesn’t have a diagnosis, they might be struggling with executive function.

So, what is executive functioning? I thought you’d never ask!

Essentially, it’s a set of mental skills that we use to help us get stuff done.

People that have mastered executive function are able to be more organized, manage their time better, and have a toolbox full of skills that help them get stuff done.

Some middle schoolers just “get it”.

But most middle schoolers need to be taught how to use them and have support to help them use them consistently.

That’s where I come in. (Lucky you!) I can help your tween strengthen their executive functioning skills. And I can help you have fewer fights over homework and less stress so that you can get back to having fun with your kid again.

How I Can Help

Take a look at the blog to read posts that were all created with you in mind. It’s chock full of helpful tips, tricks, and strategies to help you get your kid back on track.

I provide 1:1 coaching to help middle schoolers develop executive functioning.

I also work 1:1 with parents who want to learn more about how they can develop systems at home that will help their child.
